The FAQ

Where are you?

Ninety minutes away from Manhattan, in the hamlet of Marlboro (just across the bridge from Beacon).

How many guests can you host?

We can easily accommodate as many as 400 or more indoors, and countless more across the 24 acres outdoors and under our airy canopy tents. We can host it all: from single-person escapes and micro-weddings to company-wide retreats and festivals.

What do we need to bring?

Nothing at all. But some loved ones are always a good idea.

Do you have an event coordinator or do we need to bring our own?

We have an exceptional in-house staff of coordinators, and our Head Coordinator is happy to either work with you directly or with your own team.

Apart from weddings, what other events do you host?

The estate hosts virtually every type of event. Over the years, we've hosted high-end soirees, corporate retreats, milestone celebrations, concerts and festivals, photo and film shoots—and more. We haven't yet met the event we can't host.

What do you have in mind?

Food. Will we go hungry?

Craving that one dish you saw in that movie the one time? Choose any cuisine in the world and we will prepare it for you with our world-class on-site catering partners. Or, bring your own catering partner and we will work directly with them to accommodate you. The world is your oyster. (We just serve it.)

Spending the night?

Someplace Upstate is currently able to sleep a party of about 26 while we complete renovations. Starting August 2022, we will be able to welcome an overnight party of 40-56.

For larger parties, we have partnerships with the best hoteliers in the area and can arrange bespoke shuttling services or for your off-site guests or on-site parking.

How much does booking the estate cost?

Because we are a bespoke venue, every single event is individually curated for our guests. Pricing varies greatly and our professional events team are experts in executing any vision.

Say hello on our contact form and let us know what you want to build: we'll take care of the rest.

Are the horses just for show?

Not at all. Someplace is a working farm, and the horses work as hard as the rest of us. When they're not showing off for our guests, they're training for competitions or helping teach new riders the ropes.

Want to go for a romantic trail ride through the vineyard? Pose for a selfie with a mustang? Or just get a little snout boop? Just let us know.

Is the tennis court active?

Forty love all day long. Let us know when you want to set up a match.

Is the pool open?

Absolutely. Our 80 year-old pool is open for business all summer long. Try out your gymnastics on our diving board. Lounge on the sun deck. Nap in the cabana. Come on in, the water's great.

Do I have to book the whole Estate?

Not at all. Each event we host is uniquely allocated across the property, which we carefully design to meet your vision. Want to use the villa for a reception, and the vineyard for the ceremony? No problem. Carve out any one or more areas of the property and we will bring your dream to life. Let us know what you're envisioning.

What are our neighbors up to?

Marlboro is home to 14 vineyards and half a dozen distilleries. Spend your days exploring our neighboring farms, hiking beautiful trails along the Mohonk Preserve, eating fresh farm-to-table meals, and visiting nearby towns like Beacon, Woodstock, Kingston, or Rhinebeck.
